While I love this idea, I actually found that some Flash sites had more difficulty loading on the mobile browser when I had the plug-in enabled. At one point, for a period of about 45 minutes, I was inexplicably unable to load either New York Times home page or LAPTOP’s home page as the Droid 2′s browser got stuck at the point where it was trying to download some Flash ads Dell Vostro 1500 Battery and a Flash video player.

Laut Hersteller Toshiba soll die raue und Akku Sony VGP-BPS9 robuste Oberfläche Kratzer und lästige Fingerabdrücke auf ein Minimum reduzieren, und gleichzeitig durch die schwarze Aufmachung seriös und elegant wirken. Ein schneller Blick auf die verbaute Hardware offenbart einen Prozessor von Intel (Intel Core i5-450M Prozessor) und eine Grafikkarte aus Sony VGP-BPS8 Battery dem Hause ATI (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145) mit HyperMemory Unterstützung. Beide Komponenten gehören mehr oder weniger der aktuellen Hardwaregeneration an. Ebenso mit an Bord: eine 500 GB große HDD und vier GB Arbeitsspeicher. Ein weiterer erfreulicher Punkt, insbesondere für Office-Anwender, dürfte das matte 15,6 Zoll Akku Dell Latitude D620 Display sein.

Gehäuse

Bevor wir hinsichtlich der Hardware und Leistung weiter ins Detail gehen, nehmen wir Akku Dell Latitude D820 das Gehäuse einmal genauer unter die Lupe. Das 15,6 Zoll große Kunststoffgehäuse macht hinsichtlich der Stabilität im Großen und Ganzen einen guten Eindruck. Neben der Displayrückseite, die unter Druck deutlich nachgibt, zeigt das Gehäuse auch im Bereich des optischen Laufwerks kleine Schwächen bei punktueller Druckausübung. Grund dafür dürfte der darunter liegende Hohlraum des optischen Laufwerkes sein. Ansonsten wirkt das Case recht robust. Sowohl die Handballenauflage als auch der Bereich zwischen Akku Dell Latitude D630 Display und Tastatur sind gegenüber punktuellem Druck recht widerstandsfähig.

Ebenso stellt das einseitige Anheben an der Baseunit kein Problem für das Toshiba Satellite Pro L650 dar. Bis auf eine Kleinigkeit, eine minimal Akku Dell Latitude D830 überstehende Kante auf der rechten Seite der Handballenauflage um genau zu sein, gibt es auch hinsichtlich der Verarbeitung nichts auszusetzen.
Das 15,6 Zoll große matte Display wird auf beiden Seiten von zwei kleinen Scharnieren fest in Position Akku Dell Latitude D610 gehalten. Das Öffnen und Schließen geht leicht von der Hand, ohne störende Geräusche seitens der Scharniere. Dabei kommt das Satellite Pro L650 ohne einen komplizierten Verschlussmechanismus aus.

Wie schon im Intro erwähnt, besitzt das Satellite Pro L650 eine schwarze und raue Oberfläche. Dies Akku HP Compaq 6910P beschränkt sich nicht nur auf die Displayrückseite, sondern ist ebenso im Bereich der Handballenauflage vorzufinden. Ein Toshiba Schriftzug in silbernen Lettern befindet sich auf dem Deckel des Displays. Hersteller Toshiba schwimmt bei seiner L650 Reihe gegen den Strom und verzichtet auf jegliche Hochglanzoberflächen. Leider ist das Satellite Pro L650 nur in der Farbe schwarz zu haben. Sich zu etwas mehr Farbe zu bekennen könnte sicherlich nicht schaden und den einen oder anderen unentschlossenen Käufer an Akku HP Compaq 6730B Land ziehen. Hinsichtlich Verschmutzungen durch Fingerabdrücke ist unser Testgerät, im Vergleich zu Notebooks mit hochglanzlackierten Oberflächen, deutlich im Vorteil.

Ausstattung

Was die Anschlussmöglichkeiten des Toshiba Satellite Pro L650 betrifft, so sind alle Standardports mit an Bord. Diese konzentrieren sich vor Akku Hp Compaq 6820S allem auf die beiden Seitenpartien des Gehäuses, während die Rückseite nur den länglichen mobilen Energiespender beinhaltet, und die Front frei von jeglichen Anschlussmöglichkeiten bleibt.

So befindet sich auf der linken Seite der Kensington Lock, die Lüftungsöffnung, gefolgt vom Akku HP Compaq 6730S analogen VGA Ausgang, HDMI, LAN (Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller), eSATA/USB Kombianschluss und die zwei Audioports für das Mikrofon und Kopfhörer.
Rechts hingegen sieht es etwas übersichtlicher aus. So finden wir hier lediglich einen Kartenleser, zwei USB Anschlüsse, das optische Laufwerk (DVD Super Multi Laufwerk mit Double Layer Unterstützung - TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633C) und der obligatorische Netzstecker.
Beinahe alle Ports werden an den Seitenkanten im Akku Compaq Presario CQ40 vorderen Bereich angeboten. Bei umfangreicher Belegung könnte dies zu Beeinträchtigungen im Arbeitsbereich neben dem Notebook führen. Insbesondere Linkshänder könnten bei Nutzung einer Maus behindert werden.

Ebenfalls mit dabei ist eine VGA Kamera, die im oberen mittigen Bereich des Displayrahmens integriert ist. Im Zusammenspiel mit dem Array Mikrofon ist unser Allround-Testgerät für Videokonferenzen bestens gewappnet.
Für die Kommunikation mit dem Internet oder anderen Gerätschaften stehen dem Satellite Pro L650 sowohl LAN, als auch WLAN (Broadcom 802.11n-Netzwerkadapter) zur akku hp Compaq 6715b Verfügung. Dank einem integrierten Bluetooth Adapter, können auch andere bluetoothfähige Geräte gefunden und eingebunden werden.
Das Toshiba Satellite L650 verfügt grundsätzlich über alle wichtigen Ports, die Akku Dell Laptop für einen reibungslosen Alltag benötigt werden. Lediglich einen Port für die Docking Station vermissen wir bei einem Business Gerät. Bei einem Verkaufspreis von zirka 860.- Euro muss man solche Abstriche aber in Kauf nehmen.

Wem das Super Multi DVD Laufwerk zu wenig ist, dem bietet der Hersteller Toshiba auch L650 Modelle mit einem Blu-Ray Laufwerk an. So zum Beispiel die Modelle L650-17P, L650-15P oder auch L650-1EK, wobei diese Notebooks schon an die 1000.- Euro oder auch akku mehr kosten.

This striking aluminum-clad notebook is comfortable to use and packs some VGP-BPS9 graphics punch, but you'll need to bring that charger with you.

It's cool to look at and cool to the touch. The Samsung VGP-BPS9A/B Q430-11 does minimalist chic right, sporting a brushed aluminum lid and deck. And this 14-inch notebook matches its panache with snappy performance, thanks to the combination of Core i5 power and mid-range Nvidia graphics. However, the Q430-11 ($829 at Best Buy) isn't very mobile for a 5-pound laptop, delivering below-average battery life. Is this fast and well-designed machine worth that trade-off?

Design
Samsung has taken a welcome detour from its attractive but somewhat tired Touch of Color design with the Q430-11. Instead of sporting a toshiba PA3534U-1BRS Battery glossy black chassis with red accents, this notebook boasts a handsome black brushed aluminum lid and a natural aluminum metal deck. The color combination looks classy, and both the edge-to-edge glass display and the silver strip around the touchpad (which reflects light like a piece of jewelry) add a touch Dell GD761 Battery of elegance. The bottom and sides of the laptop are black plastic. Two speakers sit above the chiclet-style keyboard, along with a circular power button and an accompanying blue LED.

Weighing 5 pounds dell Latitude E5400 Battery and measuring 13.5 x 9.4 x 1.04 inches, the Q430-11 is fairly portable for a 14-inch notebook equipped with a DVD drive. However, this machine is not really made for travel--and not just because of its relatively short battery life. Samsung bundles the laptop with an AC adapter that has a three-prong plug, which not all power strips can accommodate. This 14-incher is heavier than the Gateway ID49 (4.8 pounds), but weighs the same as the Dell Inspiron 14R and Toshiba Satellite dell Vostro 1720 Battery M645 (both 5 pounds). We had no problem stuffing this system in a backpack.

Heat
We were pleasantly surprised that the metal-clad notebook stayed pretty cool to the dell Vostro 1710 Battery touch throughout our testing. After playing a Hulu video for 15 minutes, the touchpad registered only 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and the temperature between the G and H keys was a barely balmy 89 degrees. The only part of the Q430-11 that got warm (not hot) was the underside, which hit 94 degrees.

Keyboard and Touchpad
Like most consumer notebooks these days, the Q430-11 Sony VGP-BPS9/S battery sports a chiclet-style keyboard, and this one was quite comfortable to use. The tactile feedback was crisp without slowing us down, much better than the mushier layout on the ASUS U33Jc we recently reviewed. We just wish Samsung would invert the function keys so we could do things like adjust the volume and display brightness without pressing the Fn key first.

The Q430-11's touchpad isn't the largest we've used on a 14-inch laptop (3 x 1.2 inches), but the silver surface was nice and smooth Sony VGP-BPS9/B Battery for navigating the desktop. In addition, pinch-to-zoom gestures worked well when we enlarged photos. The two dedicated mouse buttons are a bit small, but were easy to press.

Display and Audio
Samsung's notebooks tend to feature top-notch displays, and this one is no different. The 14-inch Sony VGP-BPS13A/B Battery panel (1366 x 768) is bright and colorful, so long as you tilt the screen backwards; otherwise, the picture will look washed out. To test the display we fired up a 1080p trailer of Tron: Legacy, and the Q430-11 rendered a deadly Light Cycle race with plenty of detail while offering wide viewing angles.

The twin speakers on the Q430-11 don't get very loud, but they Sony VGP-BPS13 Battery sound better than the average laptop thanks to the SRS Sound technology inside this system. The horns and guitars in Cake's "The Distance" came through without any distortion even at maximum volume. However, Toshiba's 14-inch Satellite M645 has more audio oomph.

Ports and Webcam
From front to back on the left side good battery of the Q430-11, you'll find mic and headphone jacks, a USB port, an HDMI port, and Ethernet and VGA VGP-BPS13/B connections. The right side of the notebook houses the DVD drive and two additional USB ports. Samsung placed the 3-in-1 memory card reader right up front, which provides easy access for transferring photos when using this system on a table or desk. The USB port on the left of the Q430-11 can charge devices when the system is asleep or even off. However, VGP-BPS13B/Q while the machine supplied juice to a BlackBerry Bold, it didn't work for the iPhone 4 or BlackBerry Torch.

To test out the 0.3-megapixel webcam, we made a couple HP/Compaq Laptop Battery of video calls on Skype. The other caller said our image looked a little pale and that he heard some feedback when we spoke.

Die Hyperthreading Technologie sorgt hingegen für die Simulation von zwei zusätzlichen CPU-Kernen (zu sehen im Taskmanager), was dem Prozessor die Möglichkeit eröffnet, VGP-BPS9A/B bis zu vier Threads gleichzeitig abzuarbeiten. Da Spiele bisher kaum von Hyperthreading profitieren, hält sich der Vorteil abseits optimierter Anwendungen derzeitig noch in engen Grenzen. Weitere Features der in 32nm Strukturbreite gefertigten CPU sind ein 3072 KByte großer L3-Cache Akku Sony VGP-BPS9/B sowie ein integrierter Grafikchip namens GMA HD. Über eine Funktion zur Umschaltung zwischen integrierter und dedizierter Grafikeinheit, wie es sie z.B. bei der Timeline X Serie gibt, verfügt das TravelMate 7740G übrigens nicht. Der Energieverbrauch des Core i5-430M ist mit 35 Watt Akku Sony VGP-BPS9 unterdessen alles andere als gering, mit Blick auf den integrierten Grafikchip respektive Speichercontroller allerdings noch vertretbar.

Um die Grafikberechnungen kümmert Akku HP Compaq 6910P sich ebenfalls ein Modell der oberen Mittelklasse. Die ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 ist eine Dell GD761 Battery DirectX 11 fähige und in 40 nm produzierte Grafikkarte, die mit 400 Unified Shadern, 627 Millionen Transistoren und einem 1024 MByte großem Videospeicher aufwarten kann. Die Taktraten liegen mit 550 MHz (Kern) sowie 800 MHz (Shader) innerhalb der Vorgaben von ATI und auf dem für die HD 5650 üblichen Niveau. Größter Fallstrick der ATI-Karte ist indes die schmale Speicheranbindung von lediglich 128bit, die sich in Kombination mit dem DDR3-VRAM besonders in hohen Auflösungen negativ bemerkbar macht und die Leistung unnötig einschränkt. Der relativ niedrige Energiebedarf von maximal 19 Watt kann über diesen Umstand zumindest etwas hinwegtrösten. Der Konkurrent Nvidia hat der Radeon toshiba PA3534U-1BRS Battery HD 5650 im Midrange-Segment momentan kaum etwas entgegenzusetzen, die vergleichbare GeForce GT 335M reicht leistungstechnisch nicht ganz an die HD 5650 heran.

CPU Leistung

Intel´s Core i5-430M kann dank seiner effizienten Architektur und moderner Features wie Akku HP Compaq 6730B Hyperthreading und Turbo Boost eine gute Anwendungsleistung für sich verbuchen. 3435 Punkte im Singlecore-Rendering und 7890 Punkte im Multicore-Rendering des Cinebench R10 sind jeweils respektable Werte. Zum Vergleich: Der Einstiegsvierkerner Core i7-720QM rechnet im Singlecore-Rendering mit durchschnittlich 3690 Punkten nur geringfügig schneller (Turbo Boost bis zu 2.80 GHz), wohingegen im Multicore-Rendering mit 9938 Punkten ein deutlich größerer Performanceunterschied zu Tage Akku Hp Compaq 6820S tritt (acht Threads durch Hyperthreading).

GPU Leistung

Die Grafikleistung der Radeon HD 5650 bewegt sich auf einem ähnlich guten Niveau. Der GPU-Score des 3DMark Vantage beläuft sich Akku HP Compaq 6730S beispielsweise auf manierliche 2967 Punkte. Das sind zirka 13% mehr als bei einer GeForce GT 335M (z.B. mySN QMG6), die im Schnitt 2625 Punkte erzielt. Gegen den inzwischen etwas angegrauten Vorgänger Radeon HD 4650 kann sich die HD 5650 mit 2967 zu 2207 Punkten demgegenüber sogar um rund 34% absetzen.

HDD Leistung

Acer spendiert dem TravelMate 7740G eine 500 GByte große Festplatte von Hersteller Hitachi Akku Compaq Presario CQ40 (HTS545050B9A300), die mit 5400 U/Min läuft und zudem mit einem Erschütterungsschutz (Anti-Shock-Protection) aufwarten kann. HDTune bescheinigt der Festplatte eine ordentliche Leistung, mit einer durchschnittlichen Übertragungsrate von 63.5 MB/Sek positioniert sich die HDD im Mittelfeld. Des einen Freud ist des anderen Leid: Acer hat auf der Festplatte nur eine einzige (benutzbare) Partition eingerichtet, die ungefähr 452 GByte umfasst. Zusätzliche Partitionen lassen sich allerdings auch noch Akku Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad X60 nachträglich mit kostenlosen Tools wie dem Partition Wizard anlegen.

Fazit Anwendungsleistung

Das TravelMate 7740G überzeugt mit einer tadellosen Anwendungsleistung, die den durchschnittlichen Nutzer mehr als zufrieden stellen dürfte. Alle üblichen Akku Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad T60 Einsatzzwecke von Office über Web bis hin zu Multimediainhalten meistert das Notebook mit Bravour.

Gaming Performance

Da wir bereits diverse Notebooks mit ATI´s Mobility Radeon HD 5650 im Test hatten, haben wir Akku dell Studio 15 uns zur Beurteilung der Spieleleistung auf drei Titel beschränkt. Die Ergebnisse anderer Titel entnehmen sie bei Bedarf bitte unserer umfangreichen Spieleliste.

Starcraft II

Natürlich kamen wir nicht umhin, das extrem Akku dell Studio 17 erfolgreiche Starcraft II in unseren Benchmarkparcour aufzunehmen. Allein 1.5 Millionen innerhalb der ersten 48 Stunden verkaufte Exemplare sprechen eine deutliche Sprache. Das Strategiespiel ist hardwaretechnisch zwar nicht wirklich anspruchsvoll, sehr hohe Details überfordern die Radeon HD 5650 in der FullHD-Auflösung 1920 x 1080 dennoch (16.5 fps). Hohe Details können in einer gemäßigten Auflösung wie 1366 x 768 hingegen passabel gespielt werden, 28.0 fps ermittelten wir im Test. Hinweis: Da die Performance der verschiedenen Missionen teils stark schwankt, haben wir uns als Benchmarkgrundlage für das Intro-Video der Herausforderung „For the Swarm“ Akku dell Vostro 1710 entschieden.

Mafia II

Ganze acht Jahre ist es inzwischen her, als das Entwicklerstudio Illusion Softworks mit Mafia einen Akku dell Studio 1535 bei Kritikern wie Spielern hoch dekorierten Actiontitel unters Volk brachte. Die gelungene Mischung aus offener Spielwelt, abwechslungsreichen Missionen und spannungsgeladener Erzählung schufen eine für damalige Verhältnisse ungeahnte atmosphärische Dichte. 2010 ist es endlich wieder soweit, der Nachfolger soll am 27 August in die Läden kommen. Um den Fans die Wartezeit zu versüßen, hat der Publisher 2K Games im Vorhinein eine Demoversion veröffentlicht, die praktischerweise über einen integrierten Benchmark Akku HP Compaq 6735S verfügt. Diese Chance haben wir uns selbstverständlich nicht entgehen lassen und das TravelMate 7740G mit dem Gangsterepos konfrontiert. Während die Radeon HD 5650 in der Auflösung 1920 x 1080 nicht dazu in der Lage ist, Mafia II in hohen Details flüssig auf den Bildschirm zu zaubern (22.4 fps), reicht es in der Auflösung 1366 x 768 für angenehm spielbare 36.8 fps.

Metro 2033

Der Ego-Shooter Metro 2033, der auf Dmitry Glukhovsky´s gleichnamiger Romanvorlage basiert, hat dieses Jahr Crysis vom Thron des Spiels mit Akku Vostro 1000 den höchsten Hardwareanforderungen verdrängt. FullHD-Auflösung, sehr hohe Details und der DirectX 11 Modus laufen mit 12 fps nicht einmal auf der derzeit schnellsten Singlechip-GPU GeForce GTX 480M flüssig. Auf dem TravelMate 7740G präesentiert sich Metro 2033 in der nativen Auflösung von 1600 x 900, hohen Details und dem DirectX 10 Modus ähnlich ruckelig (14.1 fps). Selbst mittlere Details sind der Radeon HD 5650 in der Auflösung 1366 x 768 zu viel, vor allem im Außenbereich bricht die Akku HP Pavilion DV8 Bildwiederholrate gerne in den kritischen Bereich unter 25 fps ein. Erst niedrige Details und der DirectX 9 Modus führten in der Auflösung 800 x 600 zu einem durchgängig flüssigen Bildaufbau von durchschnittlich 53.5 fps.

Fazit Spieleleistung

Sofern man auf eine moderate Auflösung wie HP/Compaq Laptop Akku 1366 x 768 zurückgreift (wird vom Display des TravelMate 7740G nicht unterstützt), ist die Radeon HD 5650 leistungsstark genug, um aktuelle Titel in mittleren bis hohen Details flüssig darzustellen. In der nativen Auflösung von 1600 x 900 sind hohe Details demgegenüber oftmals tabu, es führt kein Weg an der mittleren Detailstufe vorbei. Bei extrem anspruchsvollen Titeln wie Metro 2033 muss ich der Nutzer sogar mit niedrigen Details zufrieden akku geben. Engagiertere Spieler sollten deshalb lieber gleich zu leistungsfähigeren Grafikkarten wie der GeForce GTX 260M oder der Radeon HD 5850 (GDDR5) greifen.

Symantec's security suite is stronger than ever, boasting an intuitive VGP-BPS9 interface and beefed-up parental controls.

Symantec pioneered the category VGP-BPS9A/B of all-in-one security suites with Norton 360, which combines traditional tools to thwart malware, spam, and phishing attacks with parental controls, identity theft protection, online backup, and utilities designed to make your PC run faster. The software won our Editors' Choice award two years ago, and this year it earns the honor again, thanks to more robust parental controls and a simple but elegant interface.

Installation
Installing the 300MB program was straightforward: after agreeing to Symantec's terms and conditions, Norton 360 detected and removed VGP-BPS13B/Q a previous-generation Norton product installed on our PC. (It can detect specific versions of competing programs that are known to present compatibility conflicts.) After a brief wait, we were prompted to restart, and that was that.

Interface
The main screen, done up in Symantec's familiar yellow and black tones, has four vertical VGP-BPS13/B panes for Backup, Identity Protection, PC Security, and PC Tuneup. Underneath each pane, you'll see the status (e.g., Protected, written in green). Below that, you'll see an explanation of your status (say, "You are protected for web browsing and e-mail," or "You are secured for online banking and shopping"). That's pretty much Sony VGP-BPS13 Battery what the last generation of the software looked like, except it had a zen white background and reassuring green check marks when things were in order.

Norton's interface makes it easy to launch features with one click and ignore intimidating menus, while still being able to drill into more advanced Sony VGP-BPS13A/B Battery settings, something we felt was lacking in the previous version. If you roll over each pane, you'll see various options for activities such as running a malware scan or a backup. You can also click View Details to turn features on and off. Beginners will find the scheduling settings, for instance, easy to navigate. Other options, such as the Firewall menu, Sony VGP-BPS9/B Battery are clearly for the most advanced users.

Our biggest issue with the UI is that there's no Back button; you have to Sony VGP-BPS9/S battery click Close in the lower right-hand corner every time you want to navigate backward. At least there are no pop-up windows, something that makes competing security programs a pain to use.

Performance and Malware Detection
This edition of 360 ushers in a reputation-based technology that helps identify threats based on how other machines in Symantec's vast network have responded Dell GD761 Battery to them. Backup

Symantec makes the process easy by letting users check off boxes next to drives and the common My Documents folder.
