Wer viel mit internen SATA-Festplatten hantiert, findet mit der Typhoon Festplatten VGP-BPS9 Docking Station eine komfortable Lösung, um das sonst umständliche Ein- und Ausbauen zu umgehen. Wie gut das funktioniert haben wir getestet.

Egal ob Notebook oder PC, in der VGP-BPS9A/B Regel benötigt man zum Austausch interner Festplatten einen Schraubenzieher, ein geöffnetes Gehäuse und auch etwas Zeit. Mit dieser Umständlichkeit will Typhoons Lösung brechen und bietet eine Dockingstation um interne 2,5“ und 3,5“ Laufwerke schnell und komfortabel einbinden zu können. Auch der generelle Ersatz externer Festplatten scheint möglich, hat man bei mehreren Geräten doch einen erheblichen Platz- als auch Akku Sony VGP-BPS9/B Preisvorteil.

Gehäuse

Die Dockingstation besteht aus schwarzem Kunststoff mit recht pflegeleichter Oberfläche Akku Sony VGP-BPS9 und ist regelrecht auf den praktischen Nutzen reduziert. Hochglanzlackierte Stellen findet man ebenso wenig wie peppige Designelemente.

Die Öffnung mit SATA Schnittstelle ist von Akku Vostro 1000 der Oberseite her erreichbar und lässt sich mit einer vertikal aufgestellten Festplatte bestücken. 2,5“ Geräte passen durch die vorhandene Öffnung, 3,5“ Geräte klappen den Deckel nach unten hin weg und vergrößern damit beim Einschieben den notwendigen Schacht. Die Festplatten werden nur durch die SATA- und Stromversorgungs-Schnittstelle gehalten. Eine weitere Befestigung ist nicht vorgesehen. Bewegt man den Dock, so provoziert man ein Wackeln der Massenspeicher, was auf Dauer sicherlich zu einem Ausleiern oder Lösen der Schnittstelle führen kann. Zu einem schnellen Lösen führt der an der Oberseite integrierte Auswurfknopf. Dieser arbeitet im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes und schleudert insbesondere 2,5“ Festplatten einige Millimeter in die Höhe. Hier sollte man also empfehlenswerterweise mit der zweiten Hand die Platte beim Auswurf festhalten, um Akku HP Compaq 6735S mögliche Beschädigungen an den Schnittstellen zu vermeiden.

Transferraten
An der Rückseite befinden sich der Netzanschluss, die USB 3.0 Schnittstelle und der Netzschalter. Kurz nach Akku dell Vostro 1710 dem Anschließen am USB 3.0 Port kann die Dockingstation verwendet werden. Festplatten werden dann in der Regel per hotplug erkannt und erscheinen kurz nach dem Einschub im System. Wir haben im Test 2,5“ Festplatten von Samsung (HM500JI, 5400 U/min, 320GB), von Toshiba (MK3256GSY 7200 U/min 320GB, und MK3265GSX 5400 U/min 320GB) und von Fujitsu (MHZ2160BJ G2 160GB, 7200 U/min) verwendet. Zudem haben wir ein SSD von Kingston (SSD Now SNV125-S2 30GB) mit in Akku dell Studio 17 den Test einbezogen.

Die maximale Schnittstellenperformance konnten wir mit den konventionellen Festplatten nicht ausreizen, da die maximale Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit des schnellsten Akku dell Studio 15 Modells bei etwa 90 MB/s liegt. Zudem konnten wir bisher an den getesteten Notebooks und ExpressCards mit USB 3.0 Schnittstelle keine höheren Übertragungsraten als 120 MB/s feststellen. Erst das Solid State Drive von Kingston bleibt mit 150 MB/s am Desktop-PC mit MSI 880GMA-E45 Mainboard Akku Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad X60 hinter den Möglichkeiten (185 MB/s) zurück. Damit kann die Typhoon HDD Docking Station zum einen ihre volle Geschwindigkeit derzeit nur an Desktop-Rechnern erreichen und zum anderen nur durch Solid State Drives bis an die Leistungsgrenze gebracht werden.

Hinsichtlich der Stromversorgung gab es beim Testgerät im HP/Compaq Laptop Akku Unterschied zu Verbatims Store`n`go Portable Hard Drive und dem Festplatten-Gehäuse HDU-700 von Typhoon (je nach Bestückung) keine Probleme, da die Stromversorgung über einen eigenen Netzanschluss gewährleistet wird.

Fazit
Die Typhoon Festplatten-Dockingstation mit USB 3.0 Anbindung ist eine interessante Lösung für Intensiv-Nutzer interner SATA-Festplatten. Die Handhabung ist unkompliziert und komfortabel. Unschön wirkt dabei allerdings die etwas labile Befestigung der Festplatten, die lediglich durch die Schnittstellen und eine Anlehnung an die Schachtwände erfolgt. Die Haltbarkeit im Dauerbetrieb muss die Docking Station also erst noch unter Beweis stellen. Im rein stationären Betrieb sollte man mit sensibler Handhabung akku und Achtsamkeit aber keine Probleme bekommen.

This Android phone puts a fun spin on the OS and sports a good camera, but there VGP-BPS13B/Q are better alternatives.

Talk about a bold departure from the stock VGP-BPS13/B Android experience. When you first turn the Xperia X10 on, it doesn't even look like a Google phone. That's because Sony Ericsson didn't just skin the OS; what you see on its 4-inch screen looks and feels completely different than anything else on the market. This phone's unique Timescape feature lets you flip through social networking updates like a deck of cards, and its Mediascape app neatly organizes your music, photos, and videos--including online content. We also like the Xperia X10's 8-megapixel camera, which borrows fun features from Sony's standalone digicams like face and smile detection. Unfortunately, this 1-GHz smart phone doesn't feel nearly Sony VGP-BPS9 Battery as fast as its clock speed, and it runs the now ancient Android 1.6 OS. So is its $149 price tag reasonable for the features you get, or should you just step up to the Samsung Captivate or iPhone 4?
Design

With its 4-inch scratch-resistant, shatter-proof glass display, the Xperia X10 is nicely balanced Sony VGP-BPS9/B Battery between the 3.5-inch iPhone 4 and the larger 4.3-inch Motorola Droid X and HTC Evo 4G. At 4.7 x 2.5 x 0.5 inches and 4.8 ounces, it's slightly shorter but thicker and heavier than the 4.5-ounce Captivate. The X10 is also the same weight as the iPhone 4. However, the iPhone 4 has a much more elegant glass and steel design.

On the plus side, the back is comprised of high-grade VGP-BPS9/S soft touch material similar to the Droid X, making it easy to grip. There are no buttons on the left of the phone, but to the right are nicely raised good battery volume buttons and a dedicated camera shutter. On top is a power button and flap-covered mini USB port, with a 3.5mm headphone jack wedged between. For novice Android users, the Xperia X10's three physical buttons (Menu, Home, Back) may seem like standard fare, but the lack of a dedicated search button VGP-BPS9A/B was a nuisance. We found ourselves reaching for the nonexistent search button often while e-mailing and web browsing, and realized just how much we've come to rely on it.

To make matters worse, the small white LED lights between the buttons barely help to distinguish Dell GD761 Battery them in dark conditions. And why use a square icon instead of a Home icon for home? Beneath the phone is the microphone, and on the back is an 8-MP camera accompanied by a light that Sony Ericsson wouldn't dare call an LED flash (we'll touch upon this later).
Display

The Xperia X10 has a 4-inch WVGA 854 x 480-pixel Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS Battery resolution display that's big and bright when the setting is cranked to the max. While not as crisp or colorful as the Super AMOLED display on the Captivate or the iPhone 4's Retina display, the Xperia X10 still does a good job of displaying multimedia content such Dell Vostro 1710 Battery as videos and pictures. Web sites looked good on the device as well, and the extra screen estate came in handy when dealing with the virtual keyboard.
Keyboard

The Xperia X10's sole reliance on Google's default Android keyboard is a bit Sony Laptop Battery of a bummer. Typing in landscape mode was fine and mostly error-free, but entering portrait mode felt too cramped. We recommend installing Swiftkey beta from the Android Market as an alternative to Google's keyboard.

Im Vergleich zum Atom N450, der maximal 5,5 Watt verbraucht, liegt der Stromverbrauch des N455 bei 6,5 Watt. Dieser Unterschied ist minimal, schlägt sich aber schlussendlich auf die Akkulaufzeit aus. Im Normalbetrieb verbraucht unser Testgerät zwischen 4,8 und 9,0 Watt. Diese Werte steigen unter Akku HP Pavilion DV8 Last auf maximal 13,6 Watt an. Die Leistungsaufnahme im Standby beziehungsweise ausgeschaltetem Zustand lassen keinen Anlass für Kritik und die gesamten Verbrauchswerte entsprechen dieser Konfiguration.

Der „Classic Test“ des kleinen Tools „Battery Eater“ ermittelt die minimale Akkulaufzeit unter Last. Die Open GL-Berechnung wird Akku HP Pavilion DV7 im Hochleistungs-Profil unter Windows 7 ausgeführt, wobei der Prozessor mit 1,66 GHz arbeitet. Zusätzlich sind die maximale Bildschirmhelligkeit und das WLAN-Modul aktiviert. Nach guten 4 Stunden und 27 Minuten ist der Akku leer und eine Steckdose muss aufgesucht werden. Im normalen Alltags-Betrieb mit aktiviertem WLAN-Modul Akku HP Pavilion DV6000 sind 5 Stunden und 49 Minuten Laufzeit möglich. In diesem Szenario haben wir eine gute Bildschirmhelligkeit eingestellt, die ein angenehmes Arbeiten ermöglicht.

Die Akkulaufzeit bei minimaler Belastung und Bildschirmhelligkeit Akku HP Pavilion DV6500 lässt sich über den „Reader’s Test“ ermitteln. Dieser Test simuliert das Lesen eines Textdokuments, wobei dieser Wert den Marketing-Angaben meist sehr nahe kommt. Nach 7 Stunden und 4 Minuten ist dabei die maximale Laufzeit erreicht. Unser Testgerät wird von Acer standardmäßig mit einem normalen 6-Zellen-Akku (49 Wh, 4400 mAh) ausgestattet. Für höhere Akkulaufzeiten wird ein großer Akku mit 5600 mAh (6 Zellen) angeboten, der allerdings aufpreispflichtig ist.

Fazit

Das Aspire One 533 (533-13drr) von Acer hinterlässt bei uns einen guten Eindruck, wobei die Performance mit 1 GByte DDR3-Hauptspeicher Akku HP Pavilion DV9000 nicht überzeugen kann. Neben dem modernen Design kann die Verarbeitung und Lackierung überzeugen. Die Aufrüstbarkeit ist dabei von Acer sehr umständlich gestaltet. Die Ergonomie kann durch ein großes Touchpad, die großzügige Acer FineTip-Tastatur und ein leicht erhöhtes Display überzeugen.

Die Mobiltechnologien entsprechen dem heutigen Standard und der freie Mini PCI Express-Slot bietet Akku HP Pavilion DV2000 zusätzliche Möglichkeiten für den Nutzer. Die Anschlussausstattung ist nicht außergewöhnlich und eine Mehrleistung durch den aktuellen Intel Atom N455-Prozessor konnten wir nicht feststellen. Ein weiterer Nachteil ist der leicht erhöhte Stromverbrauch und die daraus resultieren Akkulaufzeiten. Mit maximal 7 Stunden Akku HP Pavilion DV8000 und 4 Minuten Laufzeit kann sich das Gerät nicht gegen aktuelle Modelle von ASUS mit 6-Zellen-Akku durchsetzen.

Abschließend bekommt man für 329 Euro (UVP) ein sehr schickes Netbook für Vielschreiber, das größtenteils überzeugen kann, akku aber auch einige Schwachstellen beherbergt. Das Gerät kann ab sofort in Daytona Red (Rot), Sonoma Black (Schwarz) und Indy White (Weiß) erworben werden.

Toshiba's update to their budget netbook offerings has all the style and comfort VGP-BPS13B/Q of the original but not the longevity.

When Toshiba updated their premium netbook VGP-BPS13/B line with the mini NB305 at the beginning of the year, the venerable notebook maker impressed us once again, making the already excellent design even slimmer and more modern. But the $399 price tag kept budget-conscious consumers at bay. Enter the mini NB255 (N245), a sub-$300 model that's a bit of a throwback to the original NB205 series, but in many of the best ways. Unfortunately, when it comes to two of the most important aspects of a netbook--keyboard comfort Sony VGP-BPS9 Battery and battery life--the NB255 shows its low-cost colors.
Design

The mini NB255's closest analog is actually not the original NB205-N310, but the lower-priced Sony VGP-BPS9/B Battery NB205-N210 that came out later. Like that system, the NB255 only comes in a glossy Celestial Black finish, but there's a raised, swirling texture that extends from the lid to the deck. Though glossy, the lid doesn't attract fingerprints readily due to the texture, so it remains good-looking no matter how much you handle Sony VGP-BPS9/S it.

The NB255 retains the NB205 series' somewhat boxy but elegant shape instead of the more tapered, streamlined look of the NB305. Another hold-over from the previous generation: a jutting battery. Yes, the NB255 has prominent junk in the trunk. We wish that Toshiba would put this protrusion to better use--perhaps to give the netbook a slightly Sony VGP-BPS9A/B Battery forward tilt.

Under the hood you'll find mostly matte plastic except for the hinge cylinder, which remains glossy. The Dell GD761 Battery power button at the center doesn't glow when the netbook is on; the lights in the front edge are your only initial indication that the system is booting or waking up.
Keyboard and Touchpad

Like the NB205-N210, the NB255 doesn't have the more Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS Battery attractive metal, island-style keyboard found on the premium models. The flat, terraced keys are still comfortable to type on, providing springy feedback. We also appreciated the textured palm rest.

Our only quibble is with the size and placement of some keys. The bottom right edge of the keyboard is a bit of a mess, with PGUP, PGDN, Shift, Dell Vostro 1710 Battery and the arrow keys all shoved together inelegantly. The undersized Shift key won't make touch typists happy, but at least it's in the right place. The left edge and bottom keys are also undersized, with Fn, Alt, and the Windows key about half of their normal size to make room for the ~` key, which should be up on the number Dell Vostro 1720 Battery key row. Users who often execute keyboard shortcuts may find this as frustrating as we did.

Thankfully, the touchpad remains the same across all Dell Latitude E5400 Battery of Toshiba's netbooks. The smooth finish on the 3.1 x 1.6-inch surface makes it easy to navigate the desktop, and the two dedicated left and right mouse buttons are comfortable and easy to press.

Heat

The NB255 stayed cool during testing and use. After playing a Hulu video at full screen for 15 minutes, the touchpad measured 91 degrees Dell Latitude E4300 Battery Fahrenheit, the space between the G and H just 87 degrees, and the middle of the underside 92 degrees--all below our acceptable heat threshold.
Display and Audio

Another element that remains unchanged across the NB series is the 10.1-inch, 1024 x 600-pixel LED-backlit Dell Latitude E6500 Battery display. The bright and glossy surface kicked back quite a few reflections when viewing content with dark backgrounds. An episode of Xena: Warrior Princess streamed from Netflix featured colorful, sharp visuals, but the horizontal viewing angles weren't as wide as we would've liked; moving left or right of center Dell Latitude E5500 Battery causes the screen to toss reflection back to you.

The NB255 has only one small speaker on the right side just underneath the front lip of the system. Not surprisingly, it didn't pump out very loud or stunning audio. Though we were impressed at the clarity of the bass we heard when listening to Superchick's "One Girl Revolution (Battle Mix)" and Aerosmith's "Eat the Rich," the overall audio quality Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad R60E Battery proved tinny. When watching TV episodes on Hulu we had to Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad X60S Battery hook up an external speaker, as volume there is generally low to begin with.
Ports and Webcam

Ports are just what we'd expect on a netbook: three USB, VGA, Ethernet, headphone, mic, Sony Laptop Battery and a memory card slot. Toshiba didn't include a Sleep-and-Charge port on this model, though at this price we didn't expect it.

The NB255's webcam is not impressive, capturing indistinct images good battery with muddy colors and a severe lack of sharpness. Even tweaking the advanced settings didn't help. While video chatting on Skype our friend found it hard to make out the details of our face and said the picture was quite dark. It reminded him of watching television in 1986 on Apple Laptop Battery his grandparent's old console TV.

DDR3-Hauptspeicher erhält nun auch Einzug bei den neueren Netbooks und Dell Vostro 1710 Battery Intel liefert den passenden Prozessor. Der Intel Atom N455 unterscheidet sich, im Vergleich zum Intel Atom N450, nur durch die Unterstützung von DDR3 Hauptspeicher. Eine deutlich höhere Performance bietet dieser Prozessor dabei nicht, da die Taktfrequenz von 1,66 GHz beibehalten wurde. Eine Mehrleistung bieten nur stärkere Atom-Prozessoren, Dell Vostro 1720 Battery wie beispielsweise der Intel Atom N475 (1,86 GHz, Single Core) oder der N500 (1,5 GHz, Dual-Core).

Neben dem Prozessor findet sich bekannte Hardware im Inneren. Für die Grafik ist der Intel GMA 3150 verantwortlich, der im Prozessor untergebracht ist. Zur Dell GD761 Battery weiteren Ausstattung gehören 1 GByte DDR3-Hauptspeicher (1333 MHz) von Samsung und 250 GByte Festplattenspeicher von Western Digital. Diese Konfiguration verspricht zusammen mit Microsoft Windows 7 Starter (32-Bit) eine mittelmäßige Performance, die sich nicht aus der Masse Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS Battery absetzen kann.

Um die Leistung des Systems bewerten zu können, haben wir das Netbook durch diverse Akku HP Compaq 6910P Benchmarks geschickt. Bei allen Tests ist das Hochleistungsprofil unter Windows 7 aktiviert, wobei die Taktfrequenz gleichbleibend bei 1,66 GHz liegt. Ob der neue Intel Atom N455 einen Leistungsvorsprung zum Vorgänger bietet, klären wir in diesem Abschnitt.

Die Anwendungsperformance des Acer Akku HP Compaq 6730B Aspire One 533 ist durch den Intel Atom N455 nicht gestiegen und eine Mehrleistung bleibt aus. PCMark Vantage attestiert dies mit 1160 Punkten, wobei die Differenz zum älteren Intel Atom N450 nur sehr gering ist. Auf diesem Niveau spielt beispielsweise das Sony VAIO VPC-M11M1E/W oder der neue ASUS Eee PC 1015P mit Intel Akku HP Compaq 6735S Atom N450-Prozessor. Die subjektive Performance ist nur durchschnittlich, da der Fensteraufbau vergleichweise lange dauert und das Akku HP Compaq 6820S ganze System ein wenig träge wirkt. Für einer bessere Anwendungsleistung empfehlen wir aufgrund dieser Werte eine Upgrade auf 2 GByte DDR3-RAM.

Die 3DMark-Benchmarks von Futuremark zeigen nur minimale 3D-Leistung und Spieleambitionen müssen Akku HP Compaq 6730S zurückgeschraubt werden. Mit 89 Punkten im 3DMark 06-Benchmark bleibt unser Testgerät hinter aktuellen Geräten mit Intel Atom N450 zurück. Auf dem Niveau des Acer Aspire One 533 liegen leider nur sehr alte Netbooks mit Intel GMA 950-Grafikeinheit. Somit muss man auf aktuelle Spiele Akku Compaq Presario CQ40 verzichten und kleine Spiele lassen sich nur in geringer Auflösung spielen.

Der Austausch von RAM und Festplatte sind bei unserem Testgerät sehr aufwändig und eine Beschreibung in der Anleitung findet sich auch nicht. Wir haben zu diesem Thema eine bebilderte Beschreibung gefunden, wobei keinerlei Haftung für eventuelle Schäden übernehmen wird. Hat man den Weg über die Tastatur gefunden ist Akku Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad X60 der Austausch einfach. Von Werk ist das Netbook mit 250 GByte Festplattenspeicher (WD2500BEVT-22A23) von Western Digital ausgestattet. Die Leistungen im HD Tune Pro-Benchmark sind nur durchschnittlich und ein schnelleres Laufwerk empfiehlt sich, Akku Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad T60 wenn man auf eine bessere Performance wert legt.

Der „DPC Latency Checker“ überprüft die Latenzen unter Windows 7 Starter. Nach einigen Minuten haben wir die Überprüfung beendet, da die Werte keinen Anlass für Kritik lassen. Bewegen sich die Werte im roten Bereich, kann es zu Problemen mit Peripheriegeräten kommen. Ein sehr häufiges Problem Akku Dell Studio 15 ist das Soundknacken von externen Soundkarten.

Emissionen

Geräuschemissionen

Ein kleiner Lüfter und Kühler versprechen neben einer guten Akku Dell Studio 17 Kühlung auch eine geringe Geräuschbelastung. Im Normalbetrieb erzeugt das Aspire-Netbook zwischen 29,8 und 30,4 dB(A), wobei die integrierte Festplatte mit konstant 30,1 dB(A) ruhig arbeitet. Unter Last steigen diese Werte auf maximal 34.1 dB(A) an. Insgesamt ist der Betrieb des Netbooks sehr angenehm und fällt nicht negativ auf.

Temperatur

Das integrierte Kühlsystem macht seine Arbeit gut und effizient. Im Normalbetrieb sind die Temperaturwerte mit maximal 34,6 Grad Celsius noch im grünen Bereich, wobei direkt auffällt das dieser Wert im Bereich der Öffnung für die warme Abluft entsteht. Diese Lüftungsschlitze sind leider sehr klein und die warme Luft nicht entweichen, Akku Dell Vostro 1710 vwodurch ein Luftstau entsteht. Diese Problematik fällt auch unter Last auf, da in diesem Akku Dell Studio 1535 Szenario die maximale Temperatur auf 41,6 Grad Celsius ansteigt.

Lautsprecher

Die Lautsprecher des Acer Aspire One 533 sind an der vorderen Unterseite des Gehäuses untergebracht. Das Klangspektrum ist, wie so oft, akku nicht komplett ausgereift und die Bass-Wiedergabe fehlt. Die hohen Töne sind akzeptabel und die Wiedergabe von Radio oder Podcasts ist möglich. Für eine bessere Klangqualität bietet das Gerät eine 3,5-Millimeter-Klinke für Kopfhörer oder ein externes Soundsystem.
